Paraíba signs agreement with China to create Space Science Center

On November 4, the governor of the state of Paraíba, Brazil, João Azevêdo, announced the establishment of the Yangzhou-Paraíba Joint Space Science Center, which is the result of a cooperation agreement with the Yangzhou Department of Science and Technology in China.

 

The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between China and Brazil in the fields of science, technology and innovation, promoting the sharing of resources and the training of talent between two countries. This partnership seeks to integrate the research capabilities of both countries, achieving complementary advantages and jointly advancing science and technology, with a focus on sustainable development.

 

The Governor João Azevêdo explained that both the two sides are willing to take advantage not only of the scientific knowledge that will be generated by setting up the Bingo project, but also of the training process. This Center will establish near the radio telescope of Bingo, where studies and student-based training will be promoted, with labor qualification.
