The roads connecting Intaka-Boquisso, Matlemele-Matibwana and Khongolote-Molumbela, a total of 12 kilometers, in the Municipality of Matola, will benefit from asphalting works, within a period of nine months. The works that fall within the scope of the Urban Mobility project in the Maputo Metropolitan Area (MOVE-Maputo) are funded by the World Bank, estimated at around 1.4 billion meticais.

The three lots of roads include drainage systems, public lighting, sidewalks and cycle paths that will complement the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) project to be implemented in the Maputo Metropolitan area.

To this end, the groundbreaking ceremony took place a few days ago, with the execution of the works being carried out by the company CJIC (China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co). On the occasion, the person responsible for CIJIC highlighted that all conditions have been created and guaranteed that the works will be carried out within the established deadline and with the desired quality.
