The Chinese ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, said on August 5, “China is ready to reinforce the synergy of these strategic partnerships with Brazil, by diversifying the trade agenda and consolidating traditional partnerships”, during the opening of the 50 years of diplomatic relations between Brazil and China, held in São Paulo, organized by the Brazil China Business Council.
Qingqiao cited commercial opportunities in areas such as scientific revolution, green economy, Artificial Intelligence (AI), aerospace sector and healthcare sector. In this context, the ambassador reinforced, the intention is to make sustainability and “high quality” of products the watchwords of Sino-Brazilian cooperation. “And the business sector is the backbone of this cooperation.”
In the last five years, the ambassador also said, Brazilian exports to China have already diversified, with emphasis on shipments of products such as machinery, coffee, nuts and some fruits. He also mentioned that Brazil continues to be one of the main destinations for Chinese investment in the world.
