Governor of Rio Grande do Norte and the Chinese consul general celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil

The governor of Rio Grande do Norte, Fátima Bezerra, met on June 3, in Natal, with the Chinese consul general, Lan Heping. The agenda was marked by the inauguration of a totem in honor of the friendship between the two countries. The artistic piece was installed in the State Government Administrative Center. The Chinese company CPFL/State Grid paid for the inaugurated totem.


Governor Fátima Bezerra said the meeting aimed to strengthen the Asian country's partnership with Rio Grande do Norte. She highlighted trade relations with China, mainly in renewable energy, family farming and mining.


“The state of Rio Grande do Norte is one of the leaders in Brazilian cooperation with China. We will work to generate more and more strategic relationships. I believe that, in the next 50 years, we will have an even greater partnership with Rio Grande do Norte”, commented the consul general of China.
