The Polytechnic of Setúbal (IPS) received the Contribution Award for Sino-Portuguese Humanistic Exchanges, presented by the Chinese ambassador to Portugal, Zhao Bentang, on June 1. The “Chinese Ambassador” Scholarship award ceremony takes place at the Chinese embassy in Lisbon.

Since 2018, IPS has housed the only Lu Ban Workshop in Portugal. This space promotes teaching and research in areas linked to Industry 4.0, in collaboration with the Tianjin Vocational School of Mechanics and Electricity (EVME).

The strengthening of Chinese language teaching at IPS, the opening of courses for the external community, and the organization of cultural events aim to consolidate Oficina Lu Ban as a reference for cultural exchange between China and Portugal.

This honor highlights the importance of international collaborations in education and culture, strengthening ties between the two countries.
