São Tomé and Príncipe will be at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in the Chinese capital Beijing in the second half of this year, as announced on May 16 by the ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Xu Yingzhen. The diplomat announced the invitation during “The China/São Tomé and Príncipe Bilateral Seminar” held at the Palácio dos Congressos.

According to Xu Yingzhen, “In the second half of this year, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will take place in Beijing, and Chinese leaders will work with African leaders, including those from São Tomé and Príncipe, to address cooperation and friendship between China and Africa.”.

In her intervention, the president of the National Assembly, Celmira Sacramento, emphasized that cooperation between São Tomé and Príncipe and China has been marked by a relationship of mutual respect, solidarity and benefit for both countries, highlighting the support of the People's Republic of China in several areas, including Infrastructure, Health, Education and Technology, which has been fundamental in boosting the progress of São Tomé and Príncipe.
