The Chinese company Zhongtong Bus announced on its Facebook page that it has already delivered the 35 electric vehicles that will serve the Mondego Mobility System.

The 35 vehicles will arrive “little by little” in Portugal. The first was presented on April 25 at the inauguration of Praça 25 de Abril in Coimbra. “There are another 16 buses that are being received by the Portuguese company Energia Fundamental at the factory in China, and should arrive in Portugal within two months”, the person responsible told Notícias de Coimbra. The remaining buses should arrive in Portugal by the end of summer.

The first vehicle will now be the subject of integration and optical guidance tests, among others, so that the next two vehicles can already be prepared in Portugal with all the necessary equipment for the start-up of the system, which should take place at the end of this year between Serpins (Lousã) and Largo da Portagem.
