The BYD Shark, the Chinese brand's first medium truck, will be launched in Brazil in August.

Sources linked to the brand and various dealers have already confirmed that the BYD Shark will be launched in Brazil in August, with the first batch coming in full. The truck will be unveiled globally in the next few months, making the debut in Brazil really quick.

Few details have yet been revealed about the BYD Shark, but what we do know is that it is a hybrid. The truck will feature a 1.5 four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine linked to two electric motors. Power is expected to be around 480 hp. In other words, it will overtake the Ford Ranger Raptor as the most powerful medium pick-up truck in Brazil.
