As reported by the company that operates the hydroelectric plants, the species are curimbatá, pacu-guaçu and piapara. The release will take place in the reservoirs of the two plants.

CTG do Brasil also reported that the objective is to repopulate and guarantee fish diversity through the production and release of native species, with the authorization of the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama).
