Macau will mark in October the centenary of the birth of the Macanese writer Henrique de Senna Fernandes with several activities to reinforce knowledge "about the territory's Sino-Lusophone culture and literature," announced the Cultural Institute.
Thematic lectures and a film session are among the actions scheduled to “pay homage to this Macanese writer who made a significant contribution to Macau literature,” said the Cultural Institute (IC) in a statement.
The lawyer, who graduated in law from the University of Coimbra, wrote several novels, including “Amor e Dedinhos de Pé” and “A Trança Feiticeira”, both adapted for cinema, the latter of which, an important milestone in Macau's cinematic literature, will be shown at Cinemateca Paixão on October 15th, the day of the author's birth.
