Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd of China is thinking about launching its laptops in the Portuguese market, after its smartphones turned out to be the best-selling brand there in the first half of this year, Expresso reports.
The Portuguese newspaper quotes Huawei Sales Director for Portugal Tiago Flores as telling reporters: “We are studying it.”
Mr Flores said his company had 28 percent of the Portuguese smartphone market in the first half, having had 23 percent a year earlier.
“That means a 32 per cent growth in the number of units sold,” he said.
Expresso quotes Mr Flores as saying about 3 million smartphones will be sold in Portugal this year.
