The University of Macau says Rector Yonghua Song and Vice-rector for Research Rui Martins led a party representing the university on a recent visit to Angola.
The university issued a written statement saying the purpose of the visit was to increase collaboration between the University of Macau and other universities in Portuguese-speaking parts of the world.
The University of Macau party attended the annual meeting of the Association of Portuguese-Speaking Universities and had meetings with Chinese Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin and Angolan Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Maria do Rosário Sambo.
Members of the party also signed an agreement on co-operation between Mandume Ya Ndemufayo University in Angola and the University of Macau, according to the statement.
