The University of Saint Joseph in Macao published on Tuesday a new book for Chinese students explaining Portuguese legal language used in the city, Ponto Final reports.

The Macao newspaper quotes the author, University of Saint Joseph Professor Margarida Conde, as saying the book is meant for speakers of Chinese that are learning Portuguese and that are also law students or authorities on the law.

The report says the book contains various types of legal documents used by law firms in Macao, from court appeals to contracts involving limited liability companies.

Publication of the book coincided with the opening of the Centre for Social and Legal Studies at the University of Saint Joseph School of Business and Law, Ponto Final says.
