Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs Augusto Santos Silva has said his government will give incentives for the development of e-commerce, Oushinet reports.
The Chinese-language website quotes Mr Silva as telling a conference in Portugal that the development of e-commerce can widen the range of customers for Portuguese exports and lower trade costs.
The report says only 39 percent of Portuguese companies do business online and only 27 percent trade internationally online.
Foreign investors are welcome to set up companies in Portugal, Oushinet quotes Mr Silva as saying.
