The police college in the eastern Chinese province of Shandong has said a party of Cabo Verdean police officers attended a training course at the college this month before receiving further instruction in the southern city of Shenzhen and in Beijing.

The Shandong Police College issued a written statement saying the trainees were in Shandong from September 5 to 18.

The statement quotes the head of Shandong Police College, Han Feng, as saying he hopes Sino-Cabo Verdean police cooperation will increase and bear fruit.

The training given imparted important new know-how, the Shandong Police College quotes one of the Cabo Verdean police officers, José António, as saying.
