Over 100 people attended an event put on by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) in the eastern Chinese city of Changzhou to show off of food and drink produced in the Portuguese-speaking Countries.

A written statement issued by IPIM says 16 suppliers in the lusophone world touted their coffee, alcoholic drinks, mineral water, juices and salt.

The institute says the event included a session for matching the suppliers with potential buyers in Mainland China, who were advised to register on the special website for facilitating business between China and the lusophone world.

Several chambers of commerce and other business associations in Macao helped the institute put on the event, IPIM says.
