Chinese and Brazilian officials will meet next month to consider the 8 projects in Brazil that will be undertaken with money from the US$20 billion China-Brazil Co-operation Fund for the Expansion of Productive Capacity, Macauhub reports.
The website says the projects include the construction of a railway linking Mato Grosso to Pará, and construction of a steel plant in the southern state of Maranhão.
The report says the officials will decide whether to involve two Chinese companies in expanding the São Paulo subway system.
Money for these projects will come from a fund containing US$15 billion contributed by China and US$5 billion contributed by Brazil, Macauhub says.
