Macao companies exhibited food and drink from the Portuguese-speaking world at the 2020 Macao-Guangzhou Products Fair, held in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou last weekend, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese government-run news agency says over 100 exhibitors based in Macao or in the neighbouring province of Guangdong attended the three-day fair.

The report quotes Liang Yulian, executive of one Macao exhibitor, Vang Kei Hong Trading Co. Ltd, as saying the fair was a chance to introduce people to the Portuguese wines the company sells.

It is becoming easier to move goods from Macao to Mainland China, clearing customs now taking only a day or two, the report quotes Huang Jieyi, a representative of Projoint International Ltd Macau, as saying.

The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will help companies in lusophone countries set up shop in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Xinhua quotes IPIM Executive Director Irene Lau Va Kuan as saying.
