China imported crude oil from Angola at an average rate of 1.14 million barrels per day last month, 11.7 percent faster than a year earlier, Reuters reports.

The news agency says Chinese General Administration of Customs data indicate that only Russia sold more oil to China last month.

The report says China imported crude from all sources at an average rate of 9 million bpd last month, the second-fastest rate in any month yet.

In the first nine months of this year Russia was the biggest source of Chinese oil imports, Angola the second-biggest and Saudi Arabia the third-biggest, Reuters says.
