Portuguese Secretary of State of Internationalisation Jorge Costa Oliveira has said his country is interested in involving the Mainland in the Portuguese port of Sines and in connecting the electricity grids of Portugal and North Africa, Xinhua reports.
The state-run news agency quotes Mr Oliveira as saying so in Beijing, where he is attending an international conference on the Chinese Belt and Road initiative, which is meant to strengthen economic links between the Mainland and the rest of Asia, Europe and Africa.
Mr Oliveira said Sino-Portuguese co-operation in Sines and in electricity transmission would be the first results of the initiative to be seen in Portugal, Xinhua says.
