Brazilian port operator Companhia Docas do Espírito Santo (Codesa) and businesspeople in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai intend to start a direct shipping service between Zhuhai and the eastern Brazilian port of Vitória, Macauhub reports.

The Macao website quotes the Brazilian Association of Port and Waterway Entities as saying so.

The report says a delegation of Brazilian businesspeople will visit Zhuhai from 11 to 19 February to discuss the matter with their Chinese counterparts.

Codesa President Luis Santana Montenegro said entrepreneurs in Zhuhai had expressed great interest in a direct shipping service to Vitória, now that the Brazilian port had been modernised, Macauhub says.
