The Angolan economy grew by 0.1 percent last year according to the Ministry of Finance, reports the Portuguese news agency Lusa.
The report quotes the ministry’s Director of International Studies and Relations Office, Patrício Neto, as saying last year’s deficit would be about 2.3 percent of gross domestic product, lower than the 6.8 percent previously forecast in the government budget amended in September.
The Budget documents for this year forecast the economy will grow by 2.1 percent, with a budget deficit of 5.8 percent.
