Members of a delegation from the Pan-Pearl River Delta region expressed optimism about future co-operation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries; following their visit to Portugal this month. So said Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM, in the Portuguese acronym).
The delegation organised by IPIM included 35 representatives from nine southern provinces of Mainland China, and from the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao. The trip to Portugal included visits to several Portuguese companies.
IPIM said in a press release that delegation representatives – namely those from the provinces of Jiangxi, Hainan and Sichuan – considered that the visit was fruitful and was an “important step” to help the various authorities in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region jointly to expand their interests abroad. The delegates also acknowledged the role played by Macau as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, according to IPIM.
The delegation’s visit to Europe took place from June 16 to 24, and also included a trip to Belgium.
