Trade in merchandise between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$58.7 billion in the period from January to July 2015. It represented a 24.2 percent decline year-on-year, according to data from China Customs.

Goods worth US$22.8 billion were sold by China to Portuguese-speaking Countries in the first seven months of 2015 – a drop of 7.4 percent year-on-year. The value of China’s merchandise imports from those countries reached US$35.9 billion in the same period, down 32.0 percent year-on-year, according to Chinese official data.

The total value of merchandise traded in July between the parties topped US$10.6 billion, up 8.0 percent from the previous month.

China sold goods to Portuguese-speaking Countries worth US$3.3 billion in July, an increase of 7.8 percent compared with June. The value of China’s merchandise imports from those countries reached US$7.3 billion, up by 8.0 percent month-to-month, according to Chinese official data.
