The Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau, Carlos Correia, has praised the development of bilateral ties with China. Mr Correia’s remarks were made during a meeting last week with Chinese Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau, Wang Hua, the Embassy said in a statement.
The statement also quoted Mr Correia saying Guinea-Bissau wished to strengthen bilateral co-operation in several areas, including agriculture, fisheries, human resources and staff training.
Both sides would work closely to overcome any challenges and problems that could arise from the development of a closer relationship, he added.
At the meeting, Ambassador Wang was given an update on preparation works for a meeting of entrepreneurs from China, Portuguese-speaking Countries and Macao, taking place in Bissau from April 9 to 11.
