On the 13th of April, the Chinese ambassador to Portugal, Zhao Bentang, accompanied by Xia Xiaoling, economic and commercial adviser, visited the municipality of Sines.

During the day, the Chinese delegation had the opportunity to visit the Sines Industrial and Logistics Zone (ZILS), attending presentations by Aicep Global Parks and the CALB – China Aviation Lithium Battery Technology project.

The ambassador met with the mayor of Sines, Nuno Mascarenhas, where the mayor highlighted the qualities of the region, demonstrating total openness to future cooperation with China.

Zhao Bentang stressed China’s high interest in deepening bilateral relations with Portugal, considering that Sines has enormous potential with regard to the Port of Sines and projects in the Industrial and Logistics Zone.
