Chinese supplier of port equipment Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) has dispatched several heavy construction equipments to Brazil in a move expected to contribute to the advancement of the country’s economic and social development and, at the same time, time, contribute to the consolidation of Sino-Brazilian relations.

ZPMC recently completed the loading of five rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes. The units are already in transit to the Port of Itapoá, Brazil. The exported cranes, specially designed for the Brazilian port and weighing 181 tons each, have already been assembled so that they can be put into operation immediately upon arrival at the port.

As the weight of RTG cranes exceeds that of standard units, there are extremely high loading and transport technology requirements. However, ZPMC, by collaborating with the port and other parties, overcame the challenges in loading and transporting the cranes to ensure on-time loading and equipment integrity without the need for last-minute rectifications.
