According to a note released by the Presidency of the Republic of Portugal, the vice president of China, Han Zheng, has been visiting Portugal since the 7th of May, where he will remain until the 10th of May.
“The inclusion of Portugal in Vice President Han’s first tour abroad is a sign of the importance of friendship between Portugal and China”, wrote António Costa in a message that he published on the social network Twitter.
At the end of the morning of the 8th, the prime minister of Portugal received the vice president of China in São Bento. “We discussed the deepening of the bilateral relationship in areas such as energy transition, tourism or agri-food, bearing in mind the need to find a greater balance in our trade”, said António Costa.
Then the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, had a working lunch with the Vice President of China at the Palace of Belém, a meeting that included bilateral relations and matters relating to international affairs.
