The mayor of Aracaju, Edvaldo Nogueira, received, on the 12th of June, the acting consul general of China in Recife, Wang Ke, and the vice-consul, He Yongwei. At the meeting, they also discussed how the visit of the delegation from the Chinese city of Yantai, which will be in the capital in July, when the Sister Cities Agreement will be celebrated, will take place. Aracaju will be the first Brazilian city to sign this agreement with the Chinese city.

“It is with great happiness that I receive the interim consul general of China in Recife so that we can talk about the exchange between Aracaju and the Chinese city of Yantai”, highlighted Edvaldo. He pointed out that China is a country that already has important commercial relations with Brazil and, now, “Aracaju will strengthen these ties even more, with commercial, technological and cultural exchange”.

“We hope this friendship will be successful. We are excited about this idea of contact between our consulate and the Municipality of Aracaju”, said Wang Ke.
