CBERS-6 project should inspire new cooperation between Brazil and China

On a visit to the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation on the 19th of June , the Chinese ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, reaffirmed his commitment to long-term and comprehensive cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation and said that joint development of Satélite Sino-Brazilian on Terrestrial Resources – CBERS-6 can serve as an example for other partnerships between the two countries.

“We can use this project to expand cooperation between countries and strengthen technology and innovation both in China and in Brazil”, said the ambassador during a meeting with Minister Luciana Santos.

Minister Luciana Santos emphasized some strategic axes of public policy for the coming years. “Energy transition, digital transformation, environment and climate, health and social development are some of the pillars of our government that are aligned with China,” she said. “These axes can contribute to a better alignment between the countries”, she added.
