Standard Bank recently participated in the third biennial edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE), which took place in Hunan province, China, having invited, within the scope of promoting the export of products and the connection from Mozambican companies to new markets, three national companies taking part in the event, namely the National Sustainable Development Fund (FNDS), Moi International and Agritec, which operate in the agricultural sector.
Standard Bank has made efforts to help Mozambican companies to export their products and services to China, with special emphasis on the Agribusiness sector, by supporting the establishment of contacts and partnerships, registering products on the platform Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) e-commerce platform, which provides access to a vast network of Chinese customers.
“Standard Bank connects Mozambican companies to an extensive network of approved Chinese export and import partners. This is possible thanks to a diverse transactional offer and an extensive range of trade finance and working capital solutions, including our team, with extensive experience and fluent in Mandarin”, explains João Guirengane, director of Commercial and Business Banking of Standard Bank.
