Between the 26th of June and the 7th of July, the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), through its rector, Professor João Chrysostomo, went on an academic and scientific mission to China to strengthen academic ties between Brazil and China.
The academic mission involved the participation of more than 20 renowned Brazilian institutions, in an agenda that covered the five important centers of the Asian country: Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shijiazhuang, Langfang and Beijing. More than ten Chinese universities, schools and institutions were visited, in addition to meetings held at the Brazilian Embassy in China and the Chinese Ministry of Education.
For the rector of UFLA, the trip was extremely productive, providing a unique opportunity to get to know China’s educational power up close. “China’s education system is widely known for its academic excellence and rigorous curriculum, which prepares students for a successful future.”
