A new delegation of members of the Government of Angola will visit China soon to continue discussing bilateral co-operation. Initial talks ended last weekend, said Angola’s State Secretary for Cooperation, Ângela Bragança.
Ms Bragança returned to Angola on Tuesday after visiting China for a session of the Guidance Commission for Economic and Commercial Cooperation between Angola and China. The session was held on Sunday, Angolan news agency Angop reported.
The new delegation to China will be led by Angola’s Ministry of Finance. The ongoing topic is the existing framework of co-operation between the countries and any new funding possibilities to support development of the African country, said Ms Bragança.
Speaking to the press in Luanda, the capital of Angola, the official said that the Commission has analysed all financial mechanisms between the two countries. Ms Bragança was quoted saying that China was committed to making “Angola a priority in its co-operation with Africa”.
Chinese state-run news agency Xinhua reported China’s Vice Premier Wang Yang saying – after meeting the Angolan delegation on Monday – that both sides should strengthen co-operation in areas of investment, infrastructure, agriculture and finance.
