The 1st STJ Brazil-China Law Congress on the environment and artificial intelligence begins on March 11

The Superior Court of Justice will hold, on March 11 and 12, the 1st STJ Brazil-China Law Congress, dedicated to discussions on the environment and artificial intelligence in the legal context of both countries. Topics include three specialized sections of the court: public law, private law, and criminal law.


The opening of the meeting will take place at 8:30 am on the March 11, with the participation of the president of the STJ, Minister Herman Benjamin, as well as the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, the Chinese ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, and the secretary for Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Eduardo Paes Saboia.


Over the two days of the event, STJ ministers will preside over debates with the participation of several Brazilian and Chinese experts in artificial intelligence and the environment. Legislation on artificial intelligence in Brazil and China, the legal path towards the so-called ecocivilization and environmental and cyber crimes are some of the highlighted topics.
