From October 19 to 21, the economic and trade delegations from Mainland China that participated in the “27th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (27th MIF) in Macao were received by the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ji Xianzheng. The delegations included those led by the Director of the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province, Huang Heming; Director of the Department of Commerce of Guizhou Province, Ma Lei; President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Jilin Provincial Committee, Li Qingchen; Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, Lu Wei; Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, Zhou Yue; Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA), Li Gang; President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products (CCCMHPIE), Zhou Hui; and Chairman of the Macao Technological Innovation Association, Jin Weigang.


Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng introduced Forum Macao and the functions of the Permanent Secretariat. He also exchanged ideas with the delegations on how to fully leverage the role of Macao as a platform to further promote cooperation between Portuguese-speaking countries, provinces and cities in Mainland China and Macao in areas such as traditional Chinese medicine, scientific and technological innovation, trade and investment.


The Deputy Secretaries-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ding Tian and Casimiro de Jesus Pinto, Coordinator of the Executive Office, Li Xiaohui, and Coordinator of the Support Office, Teresa Mok, attended the meetings. Deputy Secretary-General, Paulo Jorge Rodrigues do Espírito Santo, Coordinator of the Liaison Office and Representative of Cabo Verde, Nuno Miguel Melo Furtado, Representative of Angola, Agostinho João António dos Santos, Representative of Portugal, Maria João Bonifácio, Representative of São Tomé and Príncipe, Gika Makeba da Graça Simão, and Representative of Timor-Leste, Danilo Henriques, among others, exchanged with the delegation of enterprises led by the Chairman of the Macao Technological Innovation Association, Jin Weigang.
