A delegation from two of the most influential chambers of commerce in Cape Verde – the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce and the Barlavento Chamber of Commerce – is due to visit Guinea-Bissau in March, local media reported.
The visit, to be held from March 4 to 8, is supported by the country’s Ministry of Tourism, Investment and Enterprise Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two chambers of commerce said in a press statement.
Leonesa Fortes, Cape Verde’s Minister of Tourism, Investment and Enterprise Development, will lead the delegation.
According to the statement, companies and investors from Cape Verde are interested in exploring business opportunities in Guinea-Bissau, namely in construction, shipping, agribusiness, ship repair, technical and vocational education, new technologies and consultancy.
The delegation will look into new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, and will hold meetings with entrepreneurs from Guinea-Bissau, the statement added.
The trade mission follows the visit of Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau to Cape Verde at the end of January.
