On December 9, the D'Plácido Ibrachina bookstore, located in Conjunto Nacional in São Paulo, hosted the launch of the book “Brazil-China: 50 Years of Diplomacy”. It was attended by dozens of guests, including Brazilian politicians, authorities, lawyers and representatives of the Chinese community.

The bilingual book - Portuguese and English - was produced by Ibrachina and the Chinese Bridge Club in São Paulo. The book includes 200 pages, with photos by Guto Ambar, a foreword by Brazil's vice-president Geraldo Alckmin, an introduction by councillor Edir Sales and an afterword by Thomas Law, president of Ibrachina. The texts were written by Felipe Agne, Ibrachina's communications director.

The images reveal different aspects of Chinese culture and its influence in Brazil, with pictures of cultural events such as the Chinese New Year celebrations in São Paulo, the Lantern Festival in Foz do Iguaçu, the Dragon Boat Festival, the performances of the Chinese Cultural Season in Brazil, the celebration to China by the Unidos da Vila Maria samba school, as well as highlighting cultural aspects such as gastronomy and martial arts.
