On November 18, at a bilateral meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and China signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the audiovisual and new media sector. The agreement was signed by the Brazilian Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes, and the president and editor-in-chief of China Media Group (CMG), Shen Haixiong.
The bilateral cooperation includes the possibility of collaboration in the production of audiovisual works, joint projects and the organization of cultural events, promoting the dissemination of the cultural heritage of both nations. It is also expected to the promotion of technical staff exchanges, as well as the creation of communication and training opportunities for professionals from both countries.
The agreement aims to stimulate the strengthening of exchanges between Brazil and China and cultural cooperation, deepening mutual understanding between the two countries and contribute to the development of bilateral relations.
