Angola and China strengthen parliamentary relations for future cooperation

On the November 13, the China's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Angola, Zhang Bin, was recently received by the First Vice-President of the National Assembly of Angola, Américo Cuononoca, in a meeting that strengthened cooperation ties between the two countries in the field of parliamentary diplomacy. During the meeting, the new areas of interest were explored to enhance the relationship between the two legislative institutions.


The Chinese diplomat said that the aim of the meeting was to impulse the strategic partnership between Angola and China, promoting the collaboration between the parliamentary institutions.


According to Chinese ambassador Zhang Bin, the parliamentary cooperation between Angola and China is at a positive stage, but there is interest in intensifying exchanges of high-level delegations, sharing experiences and opinions on governance, legislation and strengthening democracy. The partnership between the two countries' specialized committees also aims to improve communication and coordination on regional and international issues.
