The Government of Cape Verde announced that the Minister of the Sea, Jorge Santos, spoke at the opening ceremony of the forum to describe Cape Verde's efforts with maritime protection, stressing that it is a global responsibility that requires collective action and commitment from all countries.
The Global Ocean Development Forum took place in the coastal city of Qingdao, northern China, and the program includes an analysis of technological trends and sectors of activity about the sea with the greatest potential for growth.
