On September 27, the vice-president of Institutional Relations of the National Council of Institutions of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education (Conif), Rafael Almada, met with the director of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), Zhai Jinming, at the Congress of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnic Institutes (WFCP) in Jamaica.
The aim of the meeting was to strengthen institutional relations between the two entities, exploring new opportunities for the development of educational programs in partnership. Almada, who is also the rector of the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ), pointed out that this cooperation will be fundamental to strengthening the exchange between the Professional and Technological Education institutions of Brazil and China, promoting a rich exchange of experiences and knowledge, benefiting two countries.
In November, the representatives of the Federal Network and the Chinese institution will hold a new round of talks, with the main aim of expanding academic cooperation and fostering educational and cultural comunication between Brazil and China, focusing on the modernization and internationalization of educational practices.
