Between September 13 and 20, the group made up of young people aged between 13 and 21, mostly from the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, will perform at venues such as Beijing University. This project is planned by Rudá Institute, with the cultural support of the RioMont Art and Culture Association and sponsorship from CNOOC PETROLEUM BRASIL, through the Rouanet Law.
This trip is part of a series of cultural activities celebrating 50 years of diplomatic friendship between Brazil and China, which also included the “50 Years Brazil and China Festival”, held in August at the Copacabana Fort by CNOOC PETROLEUM BRASIL, organized by the management of the Forte de Copacabana Orchestra, which featured various Chinese cultural attractions in Brazil.
“For us it is an honor to promote this exchange and spread Brazilian culture in China, just as we are taking our culture there. The China tour further demonstrates CNOOC's contribution to promoting cultural exchange activities and deepening relations between the two countries,” explains Márcia Melchior, artistic director of the Orchestra and president of RioMont.
