The Seminar for Parliamentarians from Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP) takes place from June 25 to July 4 in Beijing. The Angolan parliamentary delegation, headed by the First Secretary of the Board of the National Assembly, Manuel Dembo, was received on June 26th by the vice-president of the National People's Congress of China, Li Hongzhong, to whom they presented fraternal greetings from the President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.
During the meeting, which was also attended by members of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, Angolan deputies had the opportunity to share information about the composition, organization and functioning of the National Assembly.
They also expressed their interest in strengthening relations of friendship and interparliamentary cooperation between Angola and China.
Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe participate in the seminar. It is expected that PALOP delegations will carry out study visits to the cities of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, and Guiyang, Guizhou province.
