The 10th Meeting of the Economic-Financial Subcommittee of the Sino-Brazilian High-Level Commission on Coordination and Cooperation (COSBAN) was held in Beijing on March 18. The meeting was co-chaired by Ambassador Tatiana Rosito, Secretary of International Affairs of the Brazilian Ministry of Finance, and Mr. Liao Min, Vice Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Finance.
The two countries exchanged views on the situation and outlook for the global economy and their macroeconomic policies, and reviewed the bilateral economic and financial agenda. They discussed cooperation in banking, insurance, capital markets and green finance. The Brazilian side presented the Ecological Transformation Plan and the investment opportunities opening up with the new industrialization.
There was agreement on the importance of financial cooperation, including the development of payment systems in local currency and increased flows between capital markets, to boost the bilateral economic agenda.
