On an official mission to China, the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema, presented the Vale do Lítio project to representatives of Ganfeng Lithium.

The Secretary of State for Economic Development, Fernando Passalio, highlights that Minas has already taken an important step in making lithium extraction a reality in the Jequitinhonha Valley and that now it is necessary to move forward.

In addition to operating in lithium salt, Ganfeng works vertically across the entire mineral chain; that is, it has extraction units, battery manufacturing and even recycling.

“It is this type of company that we want to attract, partners who can play a role that goes far beyond simple extraction and who can expand their operations into more elaborate products until we have the entire chain in Minas, from exploration to battery or even assembly of electric cars”, stated the governor.
