The Macao University of Science and Technology (MUST) has announced the publication of the first Chinese report on research into the trade relationship between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries.
The MUST says in a written announcement that the report was compiled by 20 Macao or Mainland Chinese academics commissioned by the MUST Institute for Social and Cultural Research and the Ministry of Commerce Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Co-operation.
The report analyses the state of trade between China and the Portuguese-speaking world and how it may develop, and looks at the function of Macao as a place where China and the Portuguese-speaking world can conduct business.
The announcement quotes MUST Vice-president Pang Chuan as saying the value of trade between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries is 20 times greater now than it was 15 years ago, and that the value of Chinese direct investment in the Portuguese-speaking world is 100 times greater.
