Chinese Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin has said the value of trade between China and Angola was over US$26 billion last year, and that he expects the value to increase in the near future, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency says Mr Cui said so in a meeting in Luanda with Angolan National Assembly President Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.

The report says oil accounts for most of the value of Sino-Angolan trade, and quotes Mr Cui as saying China and Angola will sell each other a greater variety of goods in the future, especially agricultural products.

China and Angola are in frequent touch about using the Chinese yuan in their trade, but agreeing on its use takes time, Angop quotes the ambassador as saying.
