São Tomé e Príncipe Prime Minister Jorge Bom Jesus will begin on Saturday a week-long visit to China, Macauhub reports.
The Macao news website says Mr Bom Jesus’s visit will be his first to China since he took office last December.
He will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang in Beijing, Macauhub says.
This month the São Tomé e Príncipe news agency, STP-Press, quoted Mr Bom Jesus as saying that while in China he would ask for money to balance his government’s budget this year.
The government plans to spend US$150 million this year, of which about 76 percent will be foreign aid, STP-Press said.
