Representatives of China and Cabo Verde will sign today a new cultural accord which will remain in effect until 2022, Inforpress reports.

The Cabo Verde news agency says the accord covers the arts, cultural heritage, tourism, cinema, radio and television, education and sport.

The report says the signing coincides with a visit to China by Cabo Verde Minister of Culture and Creative Industries Abraão Vicente to attend a meeting about connecting ordinary people of different countries. The meeting is part of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Co-operation, being held in Beijing.

While in China, the minister will meet Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism Luo Shugang and a Chinese vice-minister of education, Inforpress says.
