Beijing Capital Airlines of China will start on August 30 a passenger service between Chinese capital Beijing and Portuguese capital Lisbon via the central Chinese city of Xi’an, one of the country’s main tourist attractions, Business Traveller reports.

The return flights will leave Beijing every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, the magazine says.

In October the Portuguese news agency, Lusa, reported that Beijing Capital Airlines intended to deploy 440-seater Airbus A330 airliners on the route.

The airline suspended in October its service between Lisbon and the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou via Beijing, which began in July 2017, having filled about 80 percent of the seats in the low season and over 95 percent in the peak season, Lusa said.
